About Excavators
Purposes of an Excavator
An excavator is a type of landscaping machinery which is used to dig trenches, excavate land which is sloped, and help dig up tree roots and digging general holes during landscaping construction. Excavators will also help dig up holes for pool areas and completely remove any old pavers, concrete or flooring which needs to be lifted. Landscaping contractors will use an excavator when it is necessary to dig or remove any unwanted surface. Using an excavator saves time because the machinery is large and gets the job done much quicker than it would take to dig a hole by shovel and spade. Mini Excavators
Mini excavators are a small and compact excavator which is suitable for residential landscaping projects. Due to its relatively small size it is easily moved around smaller areas which is great for back and front yards. Mini excavators are fitted with essential accessories such as; loaders, jackhammers and earth movers. These special features are almost always used throughout the landscaping project. One of the beauties of the mini excavator is that it is run by an efficient small horse powered engine. The engine is small but the power of the machine is fierce. The mini excavator is easily operated by its control panel which the operator will sit in. It houses a on and off switch with warning signal lights for any dangerous circumstances. The control panel also houses gears which operate the excavators digging, jack hammering and earth moving modes. The excavator comes with a fully operational manual which the operator should carefully read and follow.
Protective clothing wear and face protection should always be worn by the operator of the mini excavator and those who surround the machine. Much care should be taken to prevent accidents from occurring whilst the excavator is in use.
Large Excavators
Larger excavators are high powered and offer more digging power than smaller machines. It is a large machine which can be used for; residential, industrial, commercial, farms and rural property excavating. The large excavator is powered by a turbo horse powered diesel engine which is very powerful and works efficiently to get the job at hand done right. The large excavator also features a jack hammer, loader and earth mover as part of its accessories. These handy features do not have to be part of the machine unless their necessary. The large excavator offers a fierce digging power which will cut through the toughest concrete, dirt, clay and soil.
