- Dig a post hole approximately one third of the size of fence post
- Spacing the posts accurately, it is usually about 6 to 8 feet between each post. A simple and accurate way is using a string from one corner post to another as this gives you a straight line in guidance
- When setting the posts you require a mixture of water, gravel and concrete to set the posts which provides strength and stability. Use a level as this will ensure that the post are vertically straight
- In between each post you require a top rail and a bottom rail to nail the rails in securely
- When the concrete has set, you can start nailing the rails to the frame work. Start by nailing from the top of rail frame and work your way down.
