Trees and shrubs are native to countries because they are more suited to the countries climate. There are many different tea and shrub species which can be used on residential properties. Types of Tree and Shrubs
There is a wide variety of tree and shrubs grown all over the world. Some species are more suitable and native to warmer countries and some species are more suited to colder climate countries. This gives homeowners an indication of what really is the best tree or shrub specie to grow in their home town. Here is a list of trees and shrubs which are native to American states and other parts of the world:
Trees
- Red Oak Tree is most commonly found throughout Canada and other countries of the world. Its leaves turn a bright red color during the foliage season. They are expected to live 150 years long and they grown relatively tall ranging from 20 to 30 meters tall.
- Eastern White Pine can be grown all over the world, it is a soft pine tree which has been recorded to grown 90 ft tall. It thrives in direct sunlight and is expected to live for 200 years.
- Tulip Tree is the ideal tree for residential properties. They grow and thrive off suburban soil. They flower in June showing off white tulip like flowers.
- White Spruce the white spruce is another residential tree type which thrives off suburban soil. It provides shelter to native animals and is a great wind breaking tree.

Shrubs
- Azaleais an evergreen shrub which has around 700 species. They are an ornamental plant which is most commonly planted in residential properties. They offer flowers which are amazing colors.
- Hybrid require attention during the winter months of the year as they are a shrub which thrives of hot weather. They also offer many species and are beautiful when flowering.
- Box Wood is a common shrub which is very popular and has been for many generations. This is evergreen specie which can be pruned in a wide variety of shapes. It will also provide privacy when planted on residential properties.
- Laurel is a Native American shrub which only flowers in the spring. Its flowers are of a pink tone. Its leaves are an evergreen color and it grows well in other countries where the weather during winter is not so severe.
