Wiring and Pruning Bonsai Trees

The most important aspect of the bonsai tree is pruning and wiring. The main purpose of wiring techniques is to control the shape of the tree for pruning. The trunk is wrapped with special wire which is continued to individually wrap each branch in a spiral position to allow you to bend in specific growing position for when pruning is required. Do not allow the tree to out grow the wire application. The wire is usually left on from one growing season to another.
