Red Pine

This particular tree specie will have no problems thriving in sandy soil or soils that have acidic conditions. The expected growth of a red pine is 75 feet high and is more suitable for large properties where it it’s featured uniformly along long driveways.

It’s an excellent choice, especially for small gardens as this specie is low growing and more compact and only grows up to 6 feet high. White Pine

White pine tree species comprises of fine needles with a white shade affect in appearance which are different from other species. This tree is easy to grow in all regions as it is tolerant to all weather conditions as well as it can thrive in most soil conditions. The growth of white pine trees is huge, as they can grow over 100 feet tall at full maturity and with an average of 6 feet high annually.

Watering pine trees on a regular basis after planting during the first three months is essential as you will be eliminating any stress on the root system.

Mulching around new pine plantations is also a great idea, as mulch is a deterrent for weed growth as it also eliminates water evaporation after watering. Pine bark or pine needles are an excellent choice as mulching materials.
